According to OnePlus China President Li Jie, the brand plans to unveil new Ace-branded devices in May after launching the OnePlus 13T. According to OnePlus, two models will be released as part of the Ace 5 series: the OnePlus Ace 5s and the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition. With the first-ever launch of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chip, these phones will deliver outstanding performance.
OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition:
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition is rumored to be the first device to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor. Reports indicate this chipset is an upgraded Dimensity 9300+ based on TSMC’s 4nm process. Performance promises to be superior to that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Featuring four Cortex-X4 super cores and four Cortex-A720 large cores, the Dimensity 9400e offers impressive performance benchmarks. During the Aztec 1440p graphics test, it delivered around 95 frames per second.
A Fengchi gaming kernel will also be included with the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition, ensuring an exceptional gaming experience. With flagship-level performance at a mid-range price, this processor will be a challenger to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
In addition to a 6.77-inch OLED LTPS flat display embedded with an optical fingerprint scanner, the Ace 5 Racing Edition is rumored also to feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel front camera. This device is expected to feature a 7,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging.
OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition
While the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition is expected to launch with MediaTek’s latest mobile chipset, the Dimensity 9400+, based on TSMC’s 3nm process, it will be MediaTek’s most powerful mobile chip to date. As with the Racing Edition, this model may have a similar display and battery.
OnePlus’ Ace 5 series will feature high-performance displays and large batteries, catering to gamers and performance enthusiasts. The series is likely to focus on gaming, so it may not have top-quality photography, even though the primary camera may be flagship-level.
