CMF has grown up and is unveiling its first Pro phone today – it’s not just a name, it has significant camera improvements and removes some deal-breakers.
CMF Phone 2 Pro:
The new CMF Phone 2 Pro will sport a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner & Panda Glass protection. The CMF Phone 2 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 2.2 storage. A multifunctional rotating crown on the right can be used to control volume, camera functions, media, etc.
The new CMF Phone 2 Pro will feature a 50MP Samsung GN9 (f/1.8) primary sensor along with a 8MP Ultra-wide sensor with LED flash. This time we also got a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. There is a 16MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charge support.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro will run on Android 15 OS with Nothing OS 3.2 on top. The device also gets IP54 certified making it splashproof. The brand is also promising 3 years of major Android OS updates with 6 years of Security patches.
It also includes Essential Space, an AI-powered hub for notes, ideas, and inspirations that was introduced in the Nothing Phone (3a) series.
The Essential Key lets you capture and send content to Essential Space, record a voice note, and access all your saved content with a single tap.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, and Wifi 6. Further A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Only dripping water is guaranteed to withstand the IPX2 certification, which isn’t much. Despite this, nothing says it could withstand being submerged in 25 cm of water for 3 seconds.
In the CMF lineup, design is everything, and Phone 1 is no exception. Several accessories can be attached to the back panel via a mounting point. Furthermore, the panel is easily replaceable, so you can change the colour of your phone, or get a new one if it gets damaged.
As a result of the removable panel, other repairs are also possible, potentially extending the phone’s lifespan.
Pricing:
CMF Phone 2 Pro with 8GB/128GB will cost Rs.18,999/-, whereas the 8GB/256GB will cost Rs.20,999/- in India. The CMF Phone 2 is available in four colour variants: White, Black, Orange, and Light Green. Instant bank discount of Rs. 1000/- with HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC, SBI and Axis Bank. Also, an additional Rs.1000/- off on exchange. The phone will be available from Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes, Croma and Vijay sales starting from May 5th.
