Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup will be a study in contrasts. Apple’s iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be quite thin, measuring 5.5 mm. According to Ice Universe, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be 3.2mm thicker than the iPhone 17 Pro.
According to Apple, the iPhone 17 Air will have a thin profile of just 5.5 mm (or 5.501 mm if you want to be precise). Ice Universe, a leakster, said the rest of the dimensions, including the screen, will be similar to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The main difference between Pro Max and Air will be their thickness, as the flagship will measure 8.725 mm. They will have the same footprint as the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is 163 mm tall and 77.6 mm wide.
Additionally, the display will remain the same – 6.9″ LTPO Super Retina with the same bezel thickness. In a CAD-based render, the camera bump protrudes significantly from the back of the device, although the leak doesn’t specify the thickness. Although it reportedly only comes with one camera, Apple will likely move to a different camera island design with the iPhone 17 series.
