A rumor earlier this week suggested that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra would launch in China in March, but that seems a bit optimistic. According to the company’s product manager, Zhou Yibao, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will be unveiled and available in April.

According to Zhou, there could very well be no other Ultra phone coming from a Chinese manufacturer this year with a flat screen. The device would have the narrowest thing in the world, but he refused to reveal what it was. Could bezels be the culprit? According to rumours, the Ultra will have a 6.82-inch “2K” OLED screen made by BOE, along with a 1-inch type primary camera and two periscope telephoto lenses.

Aside from the Ultra, Oppo is also expected to announce a new device called the Find X8 Next, which will have a smaller screen and an ultra-thin design. This is most likely the already rumoured Find X8 Next.

According to the information we have so far, this phone has been called the Find X8 Mini, and with this information, the phrase “small screen flagship” makes a lot more sense. Since it’s rumoured to be between 7 and 7.99 millimetres thin, Oppo might be positioning the new phone to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone 17 Air with such a rebranding.
