“Today on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the newest addition to the Apple family will be unveiled on February 19.
According to multiple leaks and confirmation from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, known for his accurate insights on Apple products, this will be the next iPhone SE. It’s tentatively called the iPhone SE 4, though some rumours suggest it might be named iPhone 16E. Nonetheless, Apple might stick to the simple name iPhone SE as it has for past models. This new model is expected to feature a design similar to the iPhone 14, an A18 chip, 8GB of RAM, and a single rear camera.
The starting price is anticipated to be $499, which aligns with the rumoured pricing of the upcoming Google Pixel 9a. This new iPhone SE will likely compete in markets like the US and Canada, with limited mid-range smartphone options.”
Specs:
The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to come with a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display similar to the design of the iPhone 14. It is expected to house the latest A18 chip and 8GB of RAM, components borrowed from the iPhone 16 series. Additionally, this model will support Apple Intelligence and feature Apple’s modem for the first time, replacing the Qualcomm modem.
In terms of photography, the iPhone SE 4 includes a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera, inherited from the iPhone 15, while forgoing the ultra-wide camera.
