Samsung has announced an Unpacked event set for January 22, where the Galaxy S25 series is expected to make its debut. A teaser poster revealed glimpses of four device corners, sparking speculation about the unveiling of four new phones: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a fresh addition, the Galaxy S25 Slim.

However, a recent rumour from China suggests that the launch of the Galaxy S25 Slim may be pushed back to May.

The Slim model is rumoured to be exceptionally thin at just 6.5 mm while still being a substantial device, potentially slotting between the Plus and Ultra models in size. Reports suggest it will feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution surpassing 1080p and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

This sleek design could be achieved through the use of a new silicon-carbon battery, known for being lightweight yet offering significant capacity—likely around 5,000 mAh.

This isn’t the first time whispers of a delay for the Slim have emerged, and the latest rumour remains unverified. It’s unclear if the information is specific to the Chinese market or more widespread. All doubts should be resolved at next Wednesday’s event, where further details are expected to be revealed.
