Redmi is set to enhance its K80 series with the anticipated launch of the Redmi K80 Ultra later this year.

According to insights from tipster Digital Chat Station, the device will boast advanced features, including a flat OLED display with slim bezels, 1.5K resolution, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for seamless unlocking. It will also sport a premium metal frame, IP68 dust and water resistance, and the high-performance Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. One of its standout upgrades is the substantial 6,500mAh battery, ensuring extended usage on a single charge.

Meanwhile, competitors such as iQOO, Realme, and OnePlus are also planning to release smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. Notable models include the iQOO Neo 10S Pro, Realme Neo 7 Pro, and OnePlus Ace 5s. These devices are expected to feature 1.5K OLED panels, durable designs with metal middle frames, and large batteries exceeding 7,000mAh capacity.

Realme’s device is rumoured to integrate an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, while OnePlus may opt for an optical alternative. Among these, the iQOO Neo 10S Pro is expected to be the first to debut with the Dimensity 9400 Plus.

With its robust specifications and thoughtful upgrades, the Redmi K80 Ultra is poised to be a strong contender in the premium smartphone market, appealing to users seeking durability, performance, and extended battery life.
