In October, vivo expanded its lineup with the introduction of the X200 Pro mini, alongside the X200 and X200 Pro. Now, Oppo seems poised to join the trend with its compact smartphone, the rumoured Find X8 Mini. Expected to debut with the Find X8 Ultra by the end of June, recent leaks from China have begun shedding light on the specifications of this anticipated device.
The Oppo Find X8 Mini is rumoured to feature a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a “1.5K” resolution, positioning it as a high-quality option in the realm of smaller-screen smartphones. It is also expected to include a high-end Sony IMX9 series main camera, coupled with a 50 MP periscope zoom camera that promises “high-quality” photography capabilities. The device will reportedly incorporate an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, enhancing its sleek design with a metal frame and glass covering both the front and back.
Additionally, the Find X8 Mini is said to support wireless charging, a feature aligning with current high-end smartphone standards. Under the hood, it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, the same processor found in its siblings, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, as well as the vivo X200 Pro mini.
While this could signal an exciting development for fans of smaller smartphones in China, the international availability of the X200 Pro mini and the potential global launch of the Find X8 Mini remains uncertain.
