Samsung Galaxy Buds3 don’t have stems – they have blades. You can pinch the blades to control playback and swipe up and down to adjust volume. Additionally, the new buds feature redesigned cases and AI features.
Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro features two-way speakers with 6.1mm planar tweeters and 10.5mm dynamic drivers, as well as dual amps. For enhanced sound quality, the SSC codec has been updated to support twice the sampling rate.
Its microphones have Active Noise Cancellation, of course, as well as features like Siren Detect, Voice Detect, and Active Noise Control. With the latter two, ambient sound will be piped in automatically so that you can hear what is happening around you.
During calls, machine learning will help deal with noise from the other end – it has been trained to recreate a natural-sounding voice even if the audio is coming from a noisy environment. Due to the Super-Wideband feature, the Buds can transmit voice at 16kHz, twice as fast as normal Bluetooth buds.
Galaxy Buds3 Pro features exclusive Blade Lights that add to the style. There is a light strip running along the edge of the stem, sorry, blade. The Wearable app allows you to customize the lighting style.
It is worth noting that the Pro buds have a slightly larger 53mAh battery in each bud and can last up to 6 hours with ANC enabled and a total of 26 hours with the case attached (or up to 7 hours/30 hours without ANC).
Samsung Galaxy Buds3:
A more affordable option is the Samsung Galaxy Buds3. With 1-way dynamic drivers (11mm), they also offer Adaptive ANC and Adaptive EQ to adjust the sound according to the environment. Additionally, these have an open design, which is more comfortable for extended wear (although the canal design of the Pro offers more passive noise isolation).
In addition to a transparent top, the redesigned cases have the same battery capacity, 515mAh. With ANC enabled, the Buds3 can provide up to 24 hours of continuous listening and up to 6 hours/30 hours without.
With the vanilla and Pro buds, you can listen to lectures in a foreign language with your Galaxy phone and buds providing a translation into your native language.
For both buds, Samsung used computational design to ensure a better, more comfortable fit. Both Buds3 models feature the same dust and water resistance – IP57 (up from IPX2 on the Buds2 and IPX7 on the Buds2 Pro). It is only for the buds, not the case. Samsung’s Buds3 series features recycled plastic from discarded fishing nets and water barrels as part of its sustainability initiative.
