A new video shows off the Pixel 9 Pro, and it’s not a leak! We’ve seen the Pixel 9 Pro leak like it’s nobody’s business, but Google finally dropped a teaser for the device. The flat sides and Bender-style camera bump confirm the new design.
It’s not long until the latest Pixel event. The company surprised us earlier this year by not marking our calendars for October. In August, Google will host an event between Galaxy Unpacked and Apple’s iPhone event. Google has added some excitement to the annual midyear tech news lull, but we’re wondering if it’s a good move. The event is scheduled for August 13th.
Now that we have seen the Pixel 9 Pro in its official form, we finally have an idea of what it looks like. Gemini is seen being filled with text in the teaser. In this case, the “person” is generating a breakup letter for their old phone. As a result, we don’t see any text. It’s more of a Google view of the Pixel 9.
On the right side, we see three cameras, a flash, and what we think is the next-generation temperature sensor. The camera visor also extends straight from the phone’s back. It’s hard to tell how it’ll look in real life. This could be similar to the camera visor on the Pixel 6 or even the Nexus 6P. Pictures and videos made them seem much more significant than they actually were.
It’s a nice teaser, but Google seems to have focused more on AI. In the 30-second advertisement, the phone was only visible for about 5 seconds. When the phone is visible, we see the text “Oh hi, AI.”
The official announcement is less than a month away, so mark your calendars!
