Today, Realme has officially announced the launch date for its C61 smartphone, which was revealed yesterday with renders, specs, and pricing. A release date for the phone has been set for June 28 at 12pm local Indian time.

According to the manufacturer, it is “tough as steel” thanks to its “integrated metallic frame” and “ArmorShell Protection”. As well as IP54 certification, the device comes with “reinforced glass” for the screen, but it isn’t specified what kind of glass.

That’s all we have so far, but if the leak aforementioned is accurate, we’ll have plenty more to say about the C61 in the future. Note that the renders weren’t accurate, since the back of the phone looks different, so let’s also take the leaked specs with a grain of salt as well.

The new Realme C61 will sport a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate support. Unisoc T612 SoC powers Realme C61 with 6GB/4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage space. It also gets a microSD card slot.

The Realme C61 will feature a 50MP main sensor coupled with a depth sensor with LED flash. There is an 8MP selfie shooter placed under the waterdrop notch. The Realme C61 will pack a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charge support. It will run on Android 14 OS with Realme UI 5.0 on top.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, and USB Type-C port. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, FM Radio, and 3.5 mm audio jack.

The device also gets the new Realme Mini Capsule feature that works only while charging the device. There’s also a programmable dynamic button and air gestures. Featuring rain-sensitive Smart Touch, IP54 protection, and Realme Lab High Dependability certification.

The Realme C61 will be priced under Rs.10000/- in India.
