While Xiaomi is expected to be the first brand to introduce a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 smartphone, several other brands are also competing for this distinction. In its upcoming iQOO 13 smartphone, iQOO is rumored to feature the 8 Gen 4.

Weibo user Digital Chat Station shared this morning that the iQOO 13’s engineering sample has been tested with an 8T OLED LTPO display with a 2800x1260p resolution.

According to our earlier report, the phone will have Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and up to 16GB of RAM. The leak also suggests a big battery for the device, but it is not revealed how big it will be.

Smart Pikachu previously revealed that the iQOO 13 would have a 6000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Its predecessor, the iQOO 12, had a 5000mAh cell, so that’s a good increase.

A Pro version of the iQOO 13 will feature a curved panel with a higher resolution of 2K. The device is likely to use the same chip as the vanilla version, but we do not yet know what else it will have.

According to the leaks, the iQOO 13 series is unlikely to debut before October 2024, when the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to arrive. Stay tuned for any new details about these smartphones.
