Previously, Nothing had hinted that it would be announcing something on April 18, and today the company revealed what we can expect: the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a).

This isn’t the Nothing Ear (3), those aren’t typos. Before the launch, the company decided to rename its products and remove the numbers it has been using to underscore each generation. Nothing says it can focus on the product and the unique experience it delivers by giving up on numbers.

There could be several generations of earbuds all called Nothing Ear in a few years, if we’re reading this correctly. It may be necessary to use the launch year to make sense of them, as Apple has done in the past.

Whatever the case may be, the Nothing Ear (3) is no longer the Nothing Ear (3), but the new Nothing Ear. Possibly complementing the Nothing Phone (2a) in the company’s portfolio as a more affordable option will be the Nothing Ear (a).

It is impossible to deliver “premium for everyone that is not driven by market price, but by user preference”.The Ear and Ear (a) is coming up in a couple of weeks, so we’re looking forward to seeing what it has to offer.
