Last week, Apple released its first product of the year, the MacBook Air with M3 chipset. As for new iPads, there have been a lot of rumors, but we haven’t seen any yet from Apple. According to a new report, Apple will indeed launch new iPads this month or in April.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says the new iPads should arrive either in late March or early April, but there is no specific launch date yet. Gurman said the new iPads would launch around the same time as iPadOS 17.4.

The iPad Pro is expected to be revamped, along with a new iPad Air model. Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard will also be available. We might get four iPad models in total, two from the Pro series and two from the Air series. Apple’s latest iPads are expected to launch soon, so we should hear more about them soon.

Apple is also rumored to release a ‘hearing aid mode’ with iOS 18. AirPods Pro 2 will have this feature. As of now, it’s not clear how the hearing aid mode will work.

Apple M4 SoC:

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple is developing a new MacBook Pro that will use the yet-to-be-announced M4 chip. It is Apple’s first chip based on the 3nm architecture, replacing the current M3 chip.

The MacBook Pro with the M4 chip is just starting to be formalized by Apple, according to Gurman. According to rumors, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 lineup will be powered by Apple’s A18 chip.

Both chips are expected to have more Neural Engine cores to handle AI-related tasks, aligning with iOS 18 and macOS 15. A17 Pro’s Neural Engine can process 35 trillion operations per second, for comparison.

MacBook Pro and M4 chip details remain unknown, but they might be announced this year or next year. As details are still pending, it would be best to take these with a grain of salt.
