Several leaks and rumors have surfaced about the Poco M5 5G in recent weeks. It has even been described as a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G smartphone, which was launched in India earlier this month.

According to the company, the Poco M6 5G will launch in India on December 22. The Poco M6 Pro 5G will be the first Poco M Series device to support 5G connectivity after the Poco M5.

As the cheapest smartphone under the Rs 10000 range in India, X.com teased the device’s launch date. Earlier, the smartphone appeared with the model 23128PC33I and the internal name “air_p” on certain public certifications. Featuring an 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, the smartphone could be launched this year.

POCO M6 5G:

 

The new POCO M6 5G will sport a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, & a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection and an oleophobic coating & 90Hz refresh rate. POCO M6 5G comes with a new MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The device also gets a dedicated microSD card slot.

It features a 50MP main rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The device comes with a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 18W charging support. The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE/5G and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, and Bluetooth 5.3. It also features Dual-Band Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C port, NFC, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 13 OS with MIUI 14 on top. The device measures 8.09 mm thick and weighs 192g.
