It’s all going down as Rockstar Games drops the trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) on December 5th. It’s time for the first taste of what gaming has been cooking.

There is a lot of talk about GTA 6 a decade after GTA 5. Rockstar announced in February 2022, “Yep, we’re working on something.” Details remained unknown, fueling the hype. A leaked alpha build appeared on the internet in September 2022. Where are we headed?

There are rumors that classic GTA stuff will return – think owning places, weather interfering with your game, and more character customization options. There’s no end to what leaks suggest, from underwater exploration to better driving to a game world like no other. It is speculated that Rockstar will use a monetization model inspired by GTA Online, integrating microtransactions and in-app purchases to monetize GTA 6.

There has been no official word on GTA 6, but speculation suggests new consoles, including the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as a PC version.
