The Oppo A79 5G is Oppo’s newest mid-range smartphone in India. This smartphone is relatively affordable, but its design makes it appear more premium than it really is.

According to Oppo India, the new A79 5G model will strike the perfect balance between sleek design, smooth performance, and fast charging battery. Its thin design measures just 7.99mm and weighs 193 grams. Using its unique treatment, it has a polycarbonate frame with a metallic texture. An elegant shiny Ring housing houses both the sensor and the flat panel on the rear.
Specs:
The new OPPO A79 5G will sport a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate support. It is now powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM & 128GB storage options. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner & stereo speakers.
On the back, the Oppo A79 5G will ship with triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. It comes with an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.05 aperture.
All this is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13 on top. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G Dual Mode (SA/NSA) support, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port, stereo speakers, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Pricing:
Oppo has announced the A79 5G in two color options, Glowing Green and Mystery Black. The device is priced at Rs.19,999/- in India. For this smartphone, the brand is offering a cashback of up to 4,000 INR and no-cost EMI options. A device exchange option lowers the price by another 4,000 INR.
