The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor from Qualcomm has been officially announced. With this advanced chipset, leading smartphone manufacturers like OnePlus are planning to launch their upcoming flagship devices, such as the OnePlus 12. It has also been reported that the brand is working on a sub-flagship device using last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The new OnePlus 12R will sport a massive 6.74 inches 1.5K(2772×1240p) BOE X1 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets Asahi Glass AGC protection on top with HDR10+ support. The device comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.

It comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. On the back, the OnePlus 12R will ship with triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, and 32MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and LED flash. There is the same 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.

The OnePlus 12R packs a massive 5500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It runs on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14.0 on top. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G Dual Mode (SA/NSA) support, in-display fingerprint scanner, Wifi 6e, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C port and 1216 Linear Speaker, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification.
