We haven’t had new iPads for a while. Apple may soon break the silence with the iPad Mini 7. The device is expected to be unveiled later this year or early next year. We are patiently awaiting the launch, but a noted tipster has bad news. There will be no 120Hz ProMotion display on the upcoming iPad Mini.

Apple’s iPad mini 7 doesn’t have a 120Hz display, and only its A-series processor is expected to be upgraded, according to @Tech_Reve. ProMotion was widely rumored to be adopted with Apple’s next iPad Mini model due to display issues with the iPad Mini 6. Apple’s iPad Mini 6 has been plagued by a “jelly scrolling” phenomenon, where text or images on one side of the screen appear tilted downwards (via MacRumors).

In terms of specifications, the new iPad Mini may not bring many significant improvements. With its Liquid Retina display and A15 Bionic processor, the iPad Mini 6 was released in 2021. Apple’s iPad Mini 7 is expected to use the A16 Bionic chip. New iPads are expected to launch soon, although there is no specific date.

The iPad Mini 7 might feature minor specification improvements. Apple could upgrade the front and rear cameras on the iPad, potentially introducing new features such as the Photonic Engine. This is just a speculation, however. More details are expected in the coming days.
