According to reports, Motorola is planning to release a new mid-range smartphone in the Moto G series. Moto G54 is reportedly the name of this under-development smartphone. It will be the third member of the Moto G family, following the Moto G53 from last year and the recently unveiled Moto G14. The specs and color options of the upcoming smartphone have been revealed in a new leak.

Motorola is internally referring to the Motorola G54 as Cancum 5G, according to an exclusive report from The Tech Outlook. During the internal development phase, companies use codenames for products and services. Motorola G54 is a 5G-compatible smartphone based on its codename.

Design:

The new Moto G54 looks no different when compared with any other previously launched devices. From the front, the new Moto G54 features a center punch-hole display with thicker bezels surrounding the display. On the back, there are dual rear cameras under the oval-shaped camera module with LED flash.

 

The power button with volume rockers is on the right side of the device. The USB Type-C Port with speaker mesh & secondary mic on the bottom of the device.

Specs:

The new Moto G54 will sport massive 6.53 inches FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Sadly, no details about the processor at the moment. It is coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space with microSD card support.

 

The device features a 50MP main sensor coupled with OIS & a 2MP macro sensor with LED flash. It features a 16MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole display. The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with IP52 certification making it water-resistant.

Additionally, the device features a large stereo speaker that supports both Dolby Atmos and Moto Spatial Sound, offering improved bass and vocals, as well as improved clarity.

The connectivity options include Dual Band Wifi, 5G, 4G LTE, FM Radio, Dual SIM support, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 5.0. The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with unknown fast charge support. It runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.

It is expected that the Motorola G54 will be available in Ambrosia, Ballad Blue, Coronet Blue, and Outer Space colors.
