The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones are expected to launch later this year. Pixel 8a is also likely to be part of the Pixel 8 series. Due to the fact that both the Pixel 6a and Pixel 7a were unveiled at Google I/O 2024, the device could debut there as well. MySmartPrice has spotted the upcoming Pixel 8a at Geekbench, while the launch date has not yet been revealed.

Geekbench indicates that the upcoming Google Pixel 8a (Akita) smartphone will be equipped with an underclocked version of the Tensor G3 chipset and a Mali-G715 GPU. According to the listing, the handset will also come with up to 8GB of RAM. The device is expected to boot Android 14 out of the box. According to the single-core and multi-core tests, the smartphone scored 1,218 and 3175 points.

Currently, the device’s other details are unknown. In December 2022, Android Authority revealed that the smartphone is codenamed “akita”. As per the sources, Google might introduce a new A-series smartphone model once every two years based on the sales of the Pixel 7a. A month ago, tipster Yogesh Brar disclosed that the A-series was coming to an end, and there would be no Pixel 8a.
