A Pixel 8 series launch is likely to take place in October. Unlike last year, Google did not preview the Pixel 8 series at I/O 2023. Even months before the Google Pixel flagship smartphones launch, rumor mills continue to churn out details. Some key details and design renders of the Pixel 8 series have leaked in the past. New leaks by tipster Yogesh Brar reveal pricing details for the Pixel 8 5G, adding to the development.

Google might increase the price of the Pixel 8 5G later this year. It’s expected that the device will receive many upgrades. In the US, the Pixel 7 5G costs $599 (roughly Rs 49,500). According to reports, the Pixel 8 5G will launch in the US for $649 (roughly Rs 53,600) to $699 (roughly Rs 57,800).

The new Google Pixel 8 will sport 6.17 inches FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate OLED flat punch-hole display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection & also gets HDR10+ support.

 

The new Google Pixel 8 is powered by the new Tensor G3 SoC which comes with a Titan M2 security chip. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.

 

Google Pixel 8 features dual rear cameras with a 50MP Samsung GN2 sensor with f/1.85 aperture. It is coupled with 12MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture (106-degree FoV) and LED flash. The Pixel 8 can shoot 4K videos at 60fps.

The Pixel 8 will feature an 11MP selfie shooter with a 4K video recording feature.

The new Pixel 8 will also feature IP68-rated dust and water resistance and also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also comes with Stereo speakers.

 

Although the Google Pixel 8 will have a larger battery than its predecessor – 4,485 mAh & comes with 24W fast wired charging and 12W wireless charging support. It runs on the latest Android 14 OS out of the box.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM, Wifi-7, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2LE, USB Type-C port, NFC, Dual SIM with 4G LTE, 5G with mmWave support.
