JioPhone 5G has been in the works for a long time. @ArpitNahiMila of Twitter has posted the first image of the upcoming JioPhone 5G. Mukesh Ambani-led telco Jio is expected to launch its cheap JioPhone 5G between Diwali and New Year.
JioPhone 5G specifications, design, display, camera, price bracket, and upcoming release date are all revealed in the leak. Hands-on images reveal a plastic-clad device covered in scratches, suggestive of a test prototype.
There is a dual-camera setup on the rear panel, similar to early Moto G series devices with pill-shaped camera islands. According to the leak, the dual camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. “Ultimate speed, unlimited experiences” is also displayed on the back panel.
On the front, the smartphone has an LED display and a waterdrop notch. The leak suggests the notch will house a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Jio 5G’s download and upload speeds are also shown in the image, which is 470Mbps and 34.25Mbps, respectively. It is also reported that the upcoming smartphone will pack a UNISOC 5G or a Dimensity 700 chipset.
