Sony just announced its latest midranger, the Xperia 10 V. This is the world’s lightest 5,000 mAh smartphone. With 159 grams, the handset is actually a couple of grams lighter than its predecessor.

After the success of Xperia 10 IV, Sony finally launches the successor aka the new Xperia 10 V. The new Xperia 10 V reminds us of the predecessor as it looks similar to it. It features triple rear cameras aligned vertically. It comes with a plastic back with waterproof support. The Sony Xperia 10 V will also feature a microSD card slot along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It measures 8.3 mm thick and weighs 159g.

The new Sony Xperia 1 V will sport the 6.1 inches FHD+ OLED panel on the front. Do note that the FHD panel will even come with a 60Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ support. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front of the device. The device will use a new Triluminous panel that is 1.5x brighter than its predecessor.

 

The new Sony Xperia 10 V is powered by SD695 SoC. It is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space. It will feature triple rear cameras with 48MP (f/1.8) 1/2.0″ Exmor RS  0.8µm pixels main lens, OIS coupled with 8MP ultra-wide with f/2.2 aperture and 8MP periscopic telephoto lens with 60x lossless zoom and 10X hybrid zoom.

The rear camera can record 4K HDR Movie recording 30fps and 120fps slow-motion at 720p. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the front.

All this is packed with a 5000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging &  Qi Wireless charging support. It runs on Android 13 OS with Sony UI on top. It also features IP65/68 rating which makes the device dust and water-resistant.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G, 5G, LTE, and VoLTE support, Wifi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack. The device comes with stereo speakers with DSEE HX, LDAC, Dolby Atmos support.

In Europe, the Xperia 10 V will cost €449 (Rs.40,300/-) and go on sale mid-June. However, pre-orders and availability will vary from market to market.
