In recent weeks, we have covered a number of rumors and leaks with regard to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 tablet series. A new report reveals that the vanilla Tab S9 will also feature a major upgrade over its predecessor, although many are interested in the top-end Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra or Plus.

According to a previous rumor, the Galaxy Tab S9 will feature a slightly larger battery pack than its predecessor. According to reports, the Galaxy Tab S9 will come with an 8,500mAh battery, which is larger than the Tab S8’s 8,000mAh pack. Ross Young of DSCC has revealed that the upcoming Tab S9 will also feature an improved display.

According to Young, the S9 series’ vanilla model will also feature an AMOLED display, unlike its predecessor. While the Galaxy Tab S8 had an LCD panel, the Galaxy Tab S9 will have Samsung’s Super AMOLED panel. Therefore, we can expect an upgrade in the quality and sharpness of the display. However, the size of the Tab S9 will remain the same with an 11-inch screen similar to the Tab S8.

Ross Young has only shared these details regarding this matter. Samsung’s new generation of tablets appears to be aimed at better competing with Apple’s iPad Pro models. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series as additional information becomes available.
