The Taiwanese PC maker announced its latest premium convertible ChromeOS laptop at Next@Acer 2023. The Acer Chromebook Spin 714 2023 comes with multiple upgrades over the 2022 model.

The notebook is powered by 13th-generation Intel U series processors. It is available in Core i3, i5, or i7 configurations.

On the storage front, the device uses either a 128GB PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD or a 256GB / 512GB / 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. The processor is paired with either 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB RAM.

Acer’s Chromebook also comes with a QHD (2K) webcam, which is a first for a Chromebook. The device also comes with a fingerprint sensor.

This notebook features a 14-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA) and 340 nits of peak brightness. With a 16:10 aspect ratio, the 360° touch screen covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut. USI stylus input is also supported.

For durability, the product has been certified to MIL-STD 810H. Dual upward-firing stereo speakers and dual microphones are housed inside. Connectivity options include WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 2 x USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4, 1 x USB Type-A, an HMDI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As a final note, the device weighs about 1.37kg and is powered by a 56 Wh battery.

Starting at $699, the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 2023 will be available in North America in May. In EMEA, it will cost €999 and go on sale in July.
