A listing for Xiaomi’s Smart Band 8 at NRRA Korea revealed key details about the wearable. Although it still sticks to its pill-shaped design, the strap will be two pieces instead of one.
Xiaomi has implemented this solution before – the Redmi Watch 3 and Smart Band 7 Pro both had two-piece straps that required a small mechanism to attach. As a result, the company’s most affordable band is the first to receive the new solution.
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 features Bluetooth 5.1 and a DC 3.87V Polymer Li-ion battery. In the images, it is shown along with the charging cable and re-attachable strap.
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 features a new strap design, bearing Model M2239B1. With the Xiaomi Smart Band 8, there is now a two-piece detachable strap that attaches to the primary body.
The NRRA did not mention any specifications about the band. Since the Smart Band 8 is indeed gaining certifications at markets around the world with the model number M2239B1, a launch should be imminent.
