The Redmi Turbo 4 launched as early as January, but its successor is expected to arrive sooner, possibly as soon as next month.

According to tipster, the Turbo 5 has a metal frame, a simple camera island design, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a larger battery than the Turbo 4.

The device will be powered by a new MediaTek chip, which is expected to be positioned as a ‘flagship mid-tier’ offering. It is likely to be the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, which will also power the Oppo Reno15 Pro, Honour Power 2, and Realme Neo 8.

Earlier rumours suggested that the Redmi Turbo 5 had a 6.6″ flat screen with “1.5K” resolution, and a battery of 7,500 mAh or 9,000 mAh – tipsters don’t seem to agree here. You can expect wired charging of 100W either way. For global markets, the Redmi Turbo 5 could be rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro, featuring a thin, light design.
