The Vivo X Fold 2 will go official in April. During the 2023 Boao Forum in China, the foldable phone was showcased ahead of its launch. On Weibo, Vivo posted a poster showing Hu Baishan, Executive Vice-President of Vivo, and Li Baodong, Secretary General of Boao Forum, holding the Vivo X Fold 2. It can be seen that the foldable phone has been redesigned.

Past Vivo X Fold and X Fold+ foldable phones featured a rectangle-shaped camera block on the back. There was a round camera module, an LED flash, and ZEISS branding on the unit. The X Fold 2 does not have a rectangular camera block, as shown in the images below.

There are three cameras and a ring LED flash inside a round-shaped camera module. ZEISS’s logo can be seen below. There appears to be a curved edge to the cover display. The outer and inner displays will both feature ultrasonic fingerprint scanners.

According to rumors, the Vivo X Fold 2’s foldable display will support 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be preloaded with the Android 13 OS based on OriginOS 3. First foldable phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, X Fold 2. Recently, it was seen at AnTuTu with 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

It will come with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel IMX663 ultra-wide snapper, and a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto camera. The battery is likely to be 4,800mAh and supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The device’s price has not yet been announced.

Vivo will also unveil the Vivo X Flip and Vivo Pad 2 at its upcoming event in April.
