In early February, Poco introduced its X5 series to the world. Poco launched two devices for the global market: the Poco X5 5G and the Poco X5 Pro. In India, only the Poco X5 Pro was launched. The brand has now released an official teaser for the vanilla X5 model that will launch soon.

Even though the teaser doesn’t explicitly mention the device’s name, the hints are enough to guess that it’s the Poco X5 5G. The Poco X5 will also be priced below Rs 20,000 ($244) in India, according to the brand. The Poco X5 5G will launch in India at 12 PM on March 14.

The POCO X5 turns out to be the rebranded Redmi Note 12 5G but with a small twist. The new POCO X5 looks exactly similar to Redmi Note 12 series launched earlier this month. It comes with a center punch-hole display and a rectangular camera module carrying triple cameras. It measures 7.89 mm thick and weighs 189g. The device will arrive in Green, Blue, and Black.

The new POCO X5 will sport 6.67 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a peak brightness of 900 nits and supports 10-bit colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.

It is powered by SD695 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.

The POCO X5  will feature a 48MP main sensor (f/1.89)  remaining two sensors are the 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. It features a 13MP selfie shooter. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with IR Blaster support.

The connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a linear motor, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The POCO X5 packs a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charge support. It runs on Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top.
