POCO has finally launched its much-awaited X-series smartphones with the POCO X5 series. The new POCO X5 series includes two devices with POCO X5 & POCO X5 Pro. Sadly, Indian users will not get a chance to buy the POCO X5 as the company plans to ditch the launch. So in India, only POCO X5 Pro will be available at the moment.

POCO X5 Pro:

The new POCO X5 Pro is just another rebranded phone which was launched recently. Yes, the device looks exactly similar to aka Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition. On the front, we got the center punch-hole display with minimal bezels. On the back, there is a huge rectangular camera module carrying triple cameras with POCO branding beside it. It measures 7.9mm thick and weighs 181g. The device comes in three colors Astral Black, Horizon Blue, and POCO Yellow.

Specs:

The new POCO X5 Pro will sport 6.67 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a peak brightness of 900 nits and supports 10-bit colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

It is powered by SD778G SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.

The POCO X5 Pro will feature a 108MP main Samsung HM2 sensor (f/1.89)  remaining two sensors are the 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. It features a 16MP selfie shooter. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with IR Blaster support.

The connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a linear motor, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The POCO X5 Pro packs a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charge support. It runs on Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top.

Pricing:

The POCO X5 Pro 5G with 6GB+128GB cost Rs.22,999/-, and the 8GB+256GB at Rs.24,999/-  in India. The launch offers include flat Rs.2000/- discount for ICICI Bank Credit card users. Additional Rs.2000/- extra off for exchange with your old smartphone. The POCO X5 Pro is already up on sale in India through Flipkart. The device will go on sale from Feb 13 for everyone.

The POCO X5 turns out to be the rebranded Redmi Note 12 5G but with a small twist. The new POCO X5 looks exactly similar to Redmi Note 12 series launched earlier this month. It comes with a center punch-hole display and a rectangular camera module carrying triple cameras. It measures 7.89 mm thick and weighs 189g. The device will arrive in Green, Blue, and Black.
