After yesterday’s price leak in Australia, a new Reddit post shows what is allegedly US pricing from an internal Verizon document. Samsung won’t increase prices on the new S23 models in the US compared to last year’s S22 series, good news for US buyers.

Pricing:

According to the leaked document, Samsung Diamond is the internal codename for the new S23 series. The DM1 is the Galaxy S23, DM2 the S23+, and DM3 the S23 Ultra. Samsung’s Galaxy S23 will start at $799 for a model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The listing does not provide pricing information for Samsung’s 8/256GB version of the S23.

Samsung’s Galaxy S23+ is expected to start at $999 and will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. In case you need more storage, Samsung will also offer an 8/512GB model.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra starts at $1,199 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage as the baseline S23+. The model with 512GB of storage is the only one that offers 12GB RAM. Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender are the colors available for the new S23 series.

New Made For Galaxy Chip:

The Galaxy S23 trio will be powered by a customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This chipset comes with higher clock speeds, according to a new report by 9to5Google.

As per the source, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be used in the Galaxy S23 series. But it comes under the name “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy”. Unlike the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550-AB) that we’ve seen on the iQOO 11, nubia Red Magic 8 Pro, and a few others. This will run at 3.36GHz rather than 3.2GHz (Prime core).

As with the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the rest of the features of this customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 should remain largely the same. The five Performance cores clocked at up to 2.8GHz and three Efficiency cores clocked at up to 2GHz. The Prime core clocked at up to 3.36GHz.

Samsung may use the “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy” branding widely or only at the Unpacked event.
