Last week, Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones. It is likely that some of these devices will be rebranded as Xiaomi and POCO devices in global markets.

According to reports, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery edition will remain exclusive to the Chinese while the Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro+ 5G may debut in India as the Xiaomi 12i and Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. Can we expect the Redmi Note 12 5G to be released any time soon? It appears that this device will be available in India under the POCO brand.

China’s Redmi Note 12 5G comes with the 22101317C. This device has the shortened model number M17. POCO has added a new phone to its database with model number 22111317PI, as shown below.

As with the Redmi Note 12 5G, the 22111317PI device shares the shortened model number M17. Therefore, it appears that the device will be rebranded as the POCO phone in India. In addition, the model number indicates that the device will be released in November. The device could be a POCO M5 5G phone.

Redmi Note 12 5G:

It features a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

An LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage are included with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. Based on Android 12, it runs MIUI 13.

On the rear, it features a 48MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8MP camera on the front.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Among its connectivity options are dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C.

Additionally, the device features a 5,000mAh battery and support for 33W fast charging.
