Today, Vivo X Fold+ was launched in China. Vivo X Fold, which was unveiled in the first half of this year, has been upgraded. While the design and specifications are similar to the regular variant, the insides are different.

Vivo X Fold+:

The new Vivo X Fold+ looks almost identical to Vivo X Fold but comes with different form internals. The Vivo’s foldable is had the same Galaxy Z Fold3 hinge-based design that we saw in many devices. Vivo revealed that the most critical part of the Vivo X Fold+ hinge is based on a waterdrop-shaped solution.

In addition to the zirconium alloy, there is an integrated floating mid-plate made of the same material. A wing-like design is achieved by using this material. The middle plate will rise to smoothen the surface of the inner screen when it is opened, the company says.

With the lower middle plate, the bend in the panel is also accommodated when the phone is closed, making it more durable. Vivo has also used UTG and controlled the bending radius of the inner screen to 2.3mm. The company said it is better than 3mm, which is the standard in other phones. It measures 14.91mm thick when folded & 7.4mm thick unfolded. The device is heavier at 311g.
