With Redmi 11 Prime series the company also introduced its cheapest model with Redmi A1 in India. The new Redmi A1 turns out to be the most affordable Redmi smartphone in India. It arrives in three colors Light Blue, Classic Black, and Light Green. The Redmi A1 will go on sale from Sept 9 at 4 PM via Amazon and leading offline retailers.

Design:

Redmi A1 features a leather texture on the back panel of the device. One sensor is housed in a square camera module along with an LED flash. It appears that the smartphone has a compact design.
On the left side, there is a SIM card holder, and on the right, there is a power button and a volume button. In addition, it is unclear whether the power button will be embedded with a fingerprint scanner. Redmi A1 has a waterdrop notch on the front and a thick chin at the bottom.

Specs:

The new Redmi A1 will sport 6.51 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, & a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

It features an 8MP main rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The device comes with a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.

 

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 12 OS without any custom skin on top. The device measures 9.09 mm thick and weighs 192g.

The new Redmi A1 will cost Rs.6499/- for the 2GB+32GB option.
