Yesterday might turn out to be the worst day in the history of Tech as the US controlled some of the big players like Google, Qualcomm and Intel to cancel their all business with Huawei. Many Huawei users are still confused about whether their device will get regular updates from Google.
later Huawei gave an official statement which promises to provide regular Android security patches along with Play Store updates to all of its devices launched till date including the upcoming Honor 20 series. This came as a relief to a few of the current Huawei smartphone owners.
Now the US Government has further discussed the issue with Huawei and gave them some more relief. Yes, Trump has now allowed Huawei to do business and provide support to all of its devices for a period of 90 days. The US Government has given a temporary license that allows U.S. companies to do business with Huawei for three months.
This license will allow to necessary to maintain and support existing and currently fully operational networks and equipment, including software updates and patches. We are still not sure what is going to happen after three months but for now, Huawei is free from the ban. The US Government has also allowed Google and other US companies to do limited business with Huawei for some more months.
