Sony Xperia 1

After a series of leaks and rumors about the new flagship Xperia XZ4 rebranded as Xperia 1 we finally have the device official. The new Sony Xperia 1 will arrive in Black, Purple, Grey and White colors whereas the Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus Navy, Black,  Gold, Silver and Pink colors. The new Sony Xperia 1 is priced at £799 (Rs.74,300/-) and will go on sale from Late Spring 2019 in the US and coming weeks in Europe. The Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus will launch on March 18 and no pricing details available.

Sony Xperia 1:

Sony finally launches the new Sony Xperia 1 comes with metal and glass back which has taller than all smartphones available right now. The new Sony Xperia 1 measures 8.2 mm thick. The new Sony Xperia 1 will sport 6.5 inches 4K OLED HDR display with a resolution of 1644x3840p having an aspect ratio of 21:9. It also features TRILUMINOS Display for mobile, X-Reality for mobile, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on both front and back of the device.

The new Sony Xperia 1 is powered by the new SD855 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It comes with microSD card support up to 512GB. The new Sony Xperia 1 features triple rear cameras with primary 12MP Exmor RS sensor having an aperture of f/1.6, 1.4μm pixel size, Hybrid OIS, Predictive capture coupled with secondary 12MP 1/3.4″ 1.0μm 135° ultra wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.4 along with third 1/3.4″ 1.0μm 45°12MP telephoto lens having an aperture of f/2.4, Hybrid OIS, 2x optical zoom, 960 fps Super slow motion and LED flash.

The new Sony Xperia 1 features better low light images with the bright F/1.6 lens and large pixel pitch 1.4μm Dual Photo Diode image sensor for blur-free images while moving along with RAW noise reduction. It is the only smartphone to feature Eye AF and up to 10FPS AF/AE for precision focus and high-speed shooting.

There is an 8MP selfie shooter with 1/ 4″ Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, 84° wide-angle lens. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, USB Type-C port and side mounted fingerprint scanner. The device comes with stereo speakers with DSEE HX, LDAC, Dolby Atmos support.

The new Xperia 1 also features IP65/68 rating which makes the device dust and water resistant. The new Xperia 1 packs 3300 mAh battery and comes with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology with QC 3.0 support and Wireless Qi charging support. The Xperia 1 runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus:

Further, Sony re-introduces the new Sony Xperia XA series as the all-new Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus. The new Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus features an all-metal unibody design and measures 8.3 mm & 8.4 mm respectively. Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus weighs around 162 grams and 180 grams respectively.

The new Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus sports 6 inches & 6.5 inches FHD+ 21:9 aspect ratio Cinema Wide display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The new Sony Xperia 10 is powered by SD630 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Sony Xperia 10 Plus is powered by SD636 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64Gb internal storage. Both the devices come with microSD card slot up to 512GB.

The new Sony Xperia 10 features Dual rear cameras with a 13MP 1/3.0″ wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.0,  1.12μm pixel size along with 5MP secondary sensor with 1/4″ sensor, 1.4μm pixel size having an aperture of f/2.4 with LED flash.

The new Sony Xperia 10 Plus features Dual rear cameras with a 12MP 1/2.8″ sensor, 1.25μm pixel size, 76.3° wide-angle lens having an aperture of f/1.75 coupled with an 8MP secondary sensor with 1/4″ sensor, 1.12μm pixel size, having an aperture of f/2.4.

Both the devices feature same 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0, 84° wide-angle lens and 1.12μm pixel size. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM With 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C port and side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The new Sony Xperia 10 Plus packs 3000 mAh battery whereas the Xperia 10 with 2780 mAh battery along with Adaptive fast charging support. Both the devices run on Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Sony Xperia L3:

The last device on the list is the new budget smartphone from Sony with Sony Xperia L3. The new Sony Xperia L3 comes with polycarbonate shell with a glossy finish and weighs around 156 grams. It measures 8.99 mm thick and will arrive in Silver, Black, and Gold colors.

The new Sony Xperia L3 sports 5.7 inches HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The new Sony Xperia L3 is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot.
