After a series of live images showing the new LG V50 ThinQ, LG finally unveiled the three new devices with LG V50 ThinQ with LG G8 ThinQ & LG G8s ThinQ at MWC2019. The LG V50 ThinQ 5G will come in a single Aurora Black color whereas the LG G8 ThinQ & G8s ThinQ with Carmine Red, New Aurora Black, and New Moroccan Blue colors. Sadly, LG didn’t reveal the availability and pricing details at the moment.
LG V50 ThinQ 5G:
The LG V50 ThinQ 5G looks exactly similar to LG V40 ThinQ with the same set of Dual selfie camera featuring wider notch. The new LG V50 ThinQ 5G will measure 8.31 mm thick and weighs around 183 grams.
It will sport 6.4 inches QHD+ HDR10 FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The new LG V50 ThinQ 5G will be powered by the latest SD855 SoC coupled with Snapdragon X50 5G chip. The device will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It will feature a microSD card slot. The device also features MIL-STD810G certification.
The new LG V50 ThinQ 5G will feature triple rear cameras with the 12MP main sensor having an aperture of f/1.5 coupled with a secondary 12MP telephoto sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and ultra-wide angle lens of 16MP having an aperture of f/1.9, 1.0-micron meter and 45 degrees FOV. It will feature Dual selfie camera with an 8MP primary sensor having an aperture of f/1.9 along with depth sensor of 5Mp having an aperture of f/2.2.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G and 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Band Wifi, NFC, fingerprint scanner, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, FM Radio and 3.5 mm audio jack with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and DTS X3D surround sound. It also comes with an IP68 rating makes the device dust and water resistant.
The new LG V50 ThinQ 5G packs 4000 mAh battery and comes with QC 3.0 support. It runs on Android 9 Pie with LG skin on top. It also comes with Full-range stereo speakers with Google Assistant button on the left of the device.
It also comes with a unique Dual screen accessory case with a secondary display of 6.2 inches of 2160x1080px OLED screen which connects with the main device through Pogo pins on the back. The new LG V50 ThinQ 5G Dual Screen accessory will further provide a chance to multi-task and play games at the same time similar to any foldable phone.
LG G8 ThinQ & LG G8s ThinQ:
Further, LG also announced the new LG G8 ThinQ which also looks similar to LG V40 ThinQ. The new LG G8 ThinQ comes with Dual camera setup in some region whereas some region we might get triple rear cameras. The new LG G8 ThinQ comes with a metal unibody design and measures 8.4 mm thick and weighs around 167 grams.
The new LG G8 ThinQ sports 6.1 inches QHD+ whereas the LG G8s Thinq sports slightly larger 6.2 inches FHD+ OLED FullVision 19.5:9 aspect ratio display. The new LG G8 ThinQ & LG G8s ThinQ is powered by SD855 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM & 64GB/128GB internal storage. Both the devices come with microSD card slot.

The new LG G8s ThinQ features triple rear cameras with primary 13MP Wide angle lens, secondary 12MP standard and 12MP telephoto lens with LED flash. Both the devices feature 8MP selfie camera with f/1.7, 1.22μm, AF coupled with Z Camera aka ToF tech for 3D facial recognition.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Band Wifi, NFC, fingerprint scanner, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, FM Radio and 3.5 mm audio jack with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Boombox Speaker with stereo output and DTS X3D surround sound. It also comes with an IP68 rating makes the device dust and water resistant.
The new LG G8 ThinQ packs 3500 mAh battery whereas G8s ThinQ with 3550 mAh battery along with QC 3.0 support. Both the devices run on Android 9 Pie with LG custom Skin on top.
