Razer has finally unveiled the second gaming smartphone with Razer Phone 2 in the US. The new Razer Phone 2 is the successor to the original Razer Phone which made trend among smartphone brands to launch their own Gaming smartphones.
Razer Phone 2 will come in two colors with Mirror and Satin versions. The Razer Phone 2 will cost $799 (Rs.59,500/-) which will be available for purchase from today in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe.
The new Razer Phone 2 comes with the same old design as the predecessor with sharp edges and a rectangular body. Razer Phone 2 is made out of metal chassis along with glossy glass back. The new Razer Phone 2 measures 158.5 x 78.99 x 8.5 mm.
Razer Phone 2 sports same 5.72 inches QHD+ (1440 x 2560p) 5.72-inch IGZO LCD UltraMotion display with higher 120 Hz refresh rates. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection. The new Razer Phone 2 comes with SD845 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
The new Razer Phone 2 features Vapor Chamber Cooling that keeps the device cool even on heavy intensive gaming. Razer Phone 2 comes with Dual rear cameras with a 12MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.75 wide angle lens, Dual PDAF, OIS, a secondary 12MP telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.6 along with Dual LED flash. It can shoot videos at 4K.
There is 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and can record videos at 1080p. The new Razer Phone 2 is now Dust and water resistant as it is certified with an IP67 rating. It also features front-firing stereo speakers with Dual amplifiers, Dolby Atmos and 24 bit DAC Audio adapter for better audio. Like the original Razer Phone 2 too comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. On the back, we even have Chroma LED which glows once we receive notification and can be customized.
The connectivity option includes Single/Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. All this is fueled by 4000 mAh battery with QC 4+ fast charging and Wireless charging support. The new Razer Phone 2 runs on Android 8.1 out of the box.
