Earlier we had few rumors about the SD670 the successor to SD660 SoC going to launch later this year. We also spotted a device powered by the same chipset on GeekBench and we also had few rumors about Xiaomi two upcoming smartphones to be powered by SD670 SoC.

Now we have a new report from XDA Developers claiming that the upcoming SD670 to be renamed as SD710 under the new SD700 series.They further mentioned that the new SD710 SoC will be powering the two new Xiaomi smartphones.

Earlier at MWC 2018 Qualcomm officially announced that the SD600 will be replaced by the new SD700 SoC which will be making its way later this year.Apart from that, XDA developer also got the alleged two new Xiaomi smartphones powered by the new SD710 SoC key specs leaked via firmware.

As per the leaks, the Xiaomi upcoming smartphones are codenamed as Sirius and Comet. Both the devices will run on Android 8.1, will be a Dual SIM smartphone, IR Blaster, OLED display with Always On Display feature and will not have support for NFC or microSD card slot.The Sirius will have a notch and will also come with Portrait mode feature.The Sirius will be powered by 3120 mAh battery whereas the Comet with 3100 mAh battery.
