HDMI Forum has now upgraded its the latest version of HDMI port with HDMI 2.1.The HDMI 2.1 specification is compatible with HDMI 2.0 which is available with all vendors.The latest version of HDMI comes with support for 8K Videos at 60Hz  and 4K Videos at 120 Hz and also has support for resolution up to 10K.

The new HDMI 2.1 has support for bandwidths up to 48GBPS which is the new Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable.It also comes with low Electro Magnetic Interference which reduces interference with nearby wireless devices.The new HDMI 2.1 comes with backward compatible and can be used on existing HDMI devices.

The new HDMI 2.1 will support all devices with an older version of HDMI specification developed by HDMI Forums.It comes with Dynamic HDR Video support which helps to get detailed images and videos with great depth, details, brightness and wider color gamuts.

The new HDMI 2.1 comes with higher refresh rates with support for VRR (Variable Refresh rate) which reduces lag, stutter, and frame tearing for better gaming experience wheres QFT reduces the latency.It also has OMT which reduces the blank screen wait time before any kind of video or movie played.It also comes with Auto Low Latency Mode which will automatically set the ideal latency setting for lag-free and smooth video playing experience.

The new HDMI 2.1 CTS will be published on HDMI Forums between Q1-Q3 of 2018 and all HDMI adopters will be notified when available.
