Default Google Messaging App Android Messages has got a major update with some new features added to the app.The new addition is now Android Messages app support payments via Google Wallet and also comes with Duo integration.There is no change in the UI and now the size of the app has been reduced.

The first feature is the Payment support where one can transfer funds or ask money from friends directly from the Android Message app. The payment is done through Google Wallet which was the first NFC payment services in the US and is now named as Android Pay.

The next feature is native Duo calling integration on the Android Messages. Now one can do video calling by just tapping on the video button directly from the SMS.Apart from this, the Android Message app will now shoe X new messages where X stands for a number of new messages as per Android Police APK teardown.It will also come with RCS (Rich Communication Services) support on Dual SIM devices which will provide larger attachments, will show whether the recipient is typing similar to WhatsApp and read recipients.
