Samsung new patent reveals the latest under display fingerprint scanner which now differs from some of its previous concepts and now it is using pressure sensitive display. The latest documents reveal the under display fingerprint scanner is embedded under the small OLED display and have several sketches which show us the many positions of the sensors.

The patent was filed in the month of March this year by Samsung Electronics in Korean Intellectual Property Office and might get approved not earlier than 2018.The sketches show us the illustration of the Pressure-sensitive fingerprint scanner which is embedded under the display which is having Infinity display and looks like the Note 8 as we know Note 8 is out and comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new sensor used detects whether a person fingerprint scanner to be matched or to perform any other task automatically based on the levels of pressure applied. The one more possible application of this tech is Samsung Pay like payments which are not mentioned in the patent but we can expect it to work based on the custom pressure levels on which the new fingerprint scanner is being developed.

Anyway, as of now, there are no details when will Samsung commercialise the latest under display fingerprint tech and these patent sketches don’t demonstrate that Samsung is already working on a prototype. So we have to wait for years together for it to go under mass production and we have to wait for few more years to see on the device.
