Google was in news from past few months about its own payment app and today Google silently launches its first UPI based payment app in India with Tez.The Tez app is available to download on both Android and iOS devices.One can now make payments to your local vendors and shops by connecting your bank to the Tez app similar to all other UPI based apps.
As per Google, Send money home to your family, split a dinner bill with friends, or pay the neighborhood chaiwala. Make all payments big or small, directly from your bank account with Tez, Google’s new digital payment app for India.
The Tez App supports all the popular Banks which have enabled UPI services for payments.The app is compatible with banks like HDFC, SBI, ICICI banks and all other major banks.Google Tez payments are now accepted by Dominos, Jet Airways, PVR, Dish TV and RedBus, as of now and will be expanded in the future.
The app supports huge list of regional languages with Hindi, Marathi Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, and Gujarathi.As we all know using UPI one can only transfer money up to Rs.1,00,000/- and it is same with Google Tez.
