As per some rumours from popular Chinese publications, XIaomi and Nokia are planning to launch some mid-range devices powered with Surge S1 chip. If it is true then Nokia will be the first company to launch chip developed by Xiaomi.Xiaomi had already launched the device with Surge S1 chip with Mi 5c which was a mid-range smartphone which was launched last year in China.

By this we can tell Nokia might launch the device with Surge S1 chip at affordable prices soon.As we all know Nokia is one of the oldest smartphones manufacturers and Xiaomi is the fastest growing smartphone manufacturing company, with this collaboration might get huge some of the profit for both and might expect some great devices in the future.

The Xiaomi Surge S1 chip is manufactured on 28nm process with total of 8 ARM Cortex A53 64
bit comes with 4+4  core configuration.It has a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz.The CPU is having Mali T860 MP4 GPU which also has support for VoLTE,eMMC 5.0 and Dual-channel LPDDR3 RAM. The Surge S1 is equivalent to SD 625 chip, Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 655 and Mediatek Helio P20 chip.

There were even leaks about Xiaomi currently working for Surge S2 chip and it is been manufactured using 16nm tech. We might hope that Nokia might launch the device with Surge S2 instead of Surge S1.Nokia has already launched some mid-range smartphone with SD430 chip and is looking for expansion of their series of smartphone.We have to wait for few more days for the official announcement.
