#MWC2018: Alcatel announces first Android Oreo Go OS powered smartphone Alcatel 1X.

Alcatel has finally unveiled the world’s first Android Go OS based smartphone with Alcatel 1X at MWC 2018.The Alcatel 1X is the cheapest smartphone among the Alcatel smartphone range and is priced at 100 Euros (Rs.7960/-) for single SIM and 110 Euros (Rs.8760/-).

The Alcatel 1X sports 5.3 inches new 18:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 480*960p.It is powered by MediaTek MT6580 SoC coupled with 1GB/2GB RAM based on regions but will have same internal storage with 16GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Alcatel 1X features 13MP or 8MP rear camera with LED flash depending upon region.The 8MP rear camera can increase the megapixel count to 13MP via software whereas the 13MP to 16MP.It is having 5MP with LED flash selfie shooter which can take images up to 8MP via software.The rear camera can shoot videos up to 1080p and has support for EIS.

The Alcatel 1X is fueled by lower 2460 mAh battery and runs on a lighter version of Android with Android Oreo Go OS aka Android 8.1 out of the box.The Alcatel 1X also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Face Key depending upon regions.

Alcatel 1X will be available from April onwards in three colours: Metal Black, Blue and Gold.

MWC 2018: LG launches the LG V30S ThinQ comes with new AI features.

After series of leaks, LG has finally unveiled their advanced version of LG V30 with LG V30S ThinQ at MWC 2018 today.LG V30S is the first ThinQ series smartphone launched as LG had launched the ThinQ at CES 2018 for identifying all of LG home appliances.

The major highlights of the device are the AI features embedded on the smartphone. The first feature is the Vision AI for the rear camera.The Vision AI comes with three new camera features with AI CAM, QLens and Bright Mode which automatically enhances the photo capturing the experience.The AI CAM automatically selects the different shooting modes based on the background and clicks the best image.

QLens is nothing but scanner which scans the QR code and gets the information and pricing of the product from the internet.It even matches the similar clothes or food and detailed information about the places of interest etc.Apart from that, the last feature is the AI voice commands which now can run an app by voice commands and even change the settings of the device.

The LG V30S ThinQ looks similar to the LG V30+ not only in terms of design but also has got the same specs.The LG V30S ThinQ sports 6.0-inch 18:9 QuadHD+ OLED FullVision Display with a resolution of 2880*1440p.It is powered by the outdated SD835 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage space and LG V30S+ ThinQ with 256GB internal storage space which can be further expanded via microSD cards up to 2TB.

Both the devices feature a Dual camera with a 16MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.6 and 71 degrees standard angle whereas the secondary camera is of 13MP having an aperture of f/1.9 which is aligned at 120 degrees wide angle.There is 5MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and having 90 degrees wide lens.

It weighs 158 grams and comes with metal frame and glass back.The LG V30S ThinQ is just 7.3mm thick.The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, 32 bit HiFi Quad DAC and HDR10 support.

The other features include IP68 rating which makes the device dust and water resistant, Fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device, Google DayDream support, Voice and Face recognition support, wireless charging and fast charging with QC 3.0 support.All this is fueled by 3300 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 out of the box.The device will be available in New Moroccan Blue and New Platinum Gray colours.

As of now, there are no details regarding pricing and availability of the device.

Vivo APEX the next concept smartphone from Vivo to launch at #MWC2018.

Vivo launched their first smartphone using the next-gen technology with under display fingerprint tech in Vivo X20 Plus UD at CES 2018. Now Vivo has now announced their next Mi Mix like full display smartphone with Vivo APEX in Chinese social media website Weibo.

As per the post, we can see the Vivo APEX with a full display similar to previously launched concept smartphone Xiaomi Mi Mix series.As per the images, we can see the completely bezel-less smartphone with curved corners on the front.Earlier we had few live images of the alleged full display smartphone leaked which was rumoured to be called the Vivo X7 Play.

Now with official announcement Vivo has also given the tagline as the ‘unlock the future’.The tagline is enough to confirm that next smartphone too will feature the under display fingerprint scanner similar to Vivo X20 Plus UD.

We are still not sure whether Vivo will call the device as X7 Play or APEX or it might be two different smartphones.Anyways, Vivo will unveil the next smartphone Vivo APEX at MWC 2018 on Feb 26.

Huawei P20 Pro specs leaked, will sport 6 inches FHD+ display.

Huawei upcoming flagship Huawei P20 series is all trending again with new set of leaks. Earlier we had spotted the alleged Huawei P20 on Chinese certification site TENAA.Now we have some spec sheet leaked for the upcoming Huawei P20 Pro.

As per the leaks by Zealer, the upcoming Huawei P20 Pro will sport 6 inches FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 having a resolution of 2160*1080p.It will be powered by Huawei Kirin 970 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM with 64GB/128GB storage space.

Huawei P20 Pro will come with triple cameras with 12MP RGB lens, 16MP Monochrome sensor and 16MP telephoto lens with an aperture of f/1.8 and OIS.There is 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0.All this is fueled by 4000 mAh battery.

The base version of Huawei P20 Pro might be priced at $930 (Rs.60,200/-) in China.Huawei will launch the new Huawei P20 series smartphone on March 27 in Paris.

LG had recently applied trademarks for the LG BoomBox Speakers and we also got few leaks which mentioned the successor to LG G6 is codenamed as Judy.Now we have a new rumours making around, LG Judy will now come with new BoomBox Speakers.

As per earlier leaks, the upcoming LG Judy was rumoured to have stereo speakers and we might expect the device might feature the new BoomBox speakers as LG has recently filed trademarks for the same.LG has filed for trademarks on Feb 1 at USPTO and was also applied in EUIPO for the same.The new trademarks are been waiting for the approval.

As per earlier rumours, the next flagship from LG will have a new name and probably might have the name LG G7.Anyways, the upcoming flagship is rumoured to be launch in the month of June this year.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact renders leaked ahead of #MWC2018.

Sony upcoming flagship Sony Xperia XZ2 renders were leaked online yesterday and today we have the new renders of the younger brother Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact.Earlier we also had spotted the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact in many benchmark listing we finally have the full device renders leaked.

As per the leaked renders, Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has got similar Omnibalance design but looks slightly different when compared with previous launched Xperia devices.The new Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is built out of polycarbonate shell and will come in various colours with Green, Black, Silver and Pink.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact will sport 18:9 aspect ratio probably FHD+ display but has got thicker bezels on all sides when compared with Sony Xperia XZ2.Above the display, we have the selfie camera with sensor and earpiece and Sony branding below the display. Below the Sony branding, we have the speaker mesh which might be the stereo speaker aka S-Force speakers from Sony.

On the right, we have the power button, volume rockers and camera shutter.On the back, we just have a single camera with Dual LED flash and Laser AF on the left side of the camera.Below the camera, we have the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner with NFC logo above it.

As per previous leaks, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact will sport 5.0 inches FHD+ display.It will be powered by SD845 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space.It is fueled by 2780 mAh battery and runs on Android Oreo out of the box.

Google Lens coming soon to all Android and iOS devices, AR Core 1.0 officially launched.

Google today officially announced that Google Lens the exclusive feature on Pixel devices is making there ways to all Android and iOS smartphones soon through the Google Photos app.

Last year Google expanded the Google Assistant after launching it with Pixel and Pixel XL and the same has been repeated again with Google Lens which made debut with Google Pixel 2.Google has announced that the Google Lens feature will be available to all English based Google Photos users for now and might expand to other languages.

If you hold any one of the flagships then you are lucky enough to get an extra feature which is camera based Lens feature on Google Assistant.As of now the list of compatible flagship has not been unveiled by Google.

Now Google has also added few new feature with text selection on Google Lens.The new text selection one can create contact or copy the text, create an event with just one tap. Google Lens will also recognise animals and plants in coming update.

Apart from that Google also launches the Google AR Core 1.0 today. The AR Core made debut at Google I/O 2017 and till date was under preview.Finally, Google reached the new version of Google AR Core 1.0 which means that any developer can no publish apps based on AR directly to the Google Play Store.

The Google AR Core 1.0 lets user place objects like furniture, toy boxes etc over the picture.Google AR Core will be compatible with over 100 million Android OS smartphones and a lot of devices from brands like Xiaomi, ASUS, Huawei, ZTE, Samsung, LG, Motorola and Nokia will be added soon.

Currently, the AR Core 1.0 support nearly 13 devices with Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL, Asus Zenfone AR, OnePlus 5, and LG V30, V30+.

Sony Xperia XZ2 renders leaked comes with 18:9 display,rear mounted fingerprint scanner

Sony most rumoured device the Sony Xperia XZ2 new renders have been leaked by popular tipster Evan Blass today. Earlier we had spotted the device in many benchmarking sites and also got few renders of the device leaked.

As per the renders leaked by Evan Blass, the Sony Xperia XZ2 is having all new design but it still has a rectangular shaped design similar to Omnibalance design what we saw on earlier Sony smartphones.

At the front, we have a nearly bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio display with thicker top bezels carrying the earpiece and selfie camera with sensors and bottom bezels carries the Sony Branding.As per the leaks, the Sony Xperia XZ2 will have Aluminium frame with glossy finish whereas the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has non-scratch polycarbonate finish at the back.The Sony Xperia XZ2 will be available in four colours with Black, Green, Silver and Pink.

On the back, we have the single rear camera with Dual tone Dual LED flash and Laser AF above the camera and fingerprint scanner just below the rear camera.On the right, we have the Power button, Volume keys and dedicated camera shutter key.

Evan Blass also leaked the specs sheet of the device. As per VentureBeat, the Sony Xperia XZ2 will sport 5.7 inches and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact sport 5 inches FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.Both of them are powered by the SD845 SoC same as the International variant of Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+.

Sony Xperia XZ2 features a same 19MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture one found on Sony Xperia XZ Premium which also supports super slo-mo recording and can shoot 4K videos.Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact will have different cameras.The Sony Xperia XZ2 will also feature new S-Force stereo speakers w a the haptic feedback system. Sadly, Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact will not have stereo speakers.

Both the devices are certified for Ingress Glass protection.The Sony Xperia XZ2 fueled by 3180 mAh battery and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact with 2870 mAh battery. Both the device will feature USB Type-C port on the bottom of the device and as it comes with glass back both the devices will have support for wireless charging too.

After leaking the first renders of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ2 finally we have some new rumours popping up.Sony has now officially announced that they will be launching not two but three new smartphones at MWC 2018.

Sony South Africa has just published a post on Facebook mentioning that they will be launching three amazing new Xperia models.We are still not sure which is the third smartphone that will be launching along with the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact.

Anyways, stay tuned for more updates regarding the new Sony Xperia Lineup which will be unveiling on Monday.

New renders of Oppo R15 leaked comes with notch.

Oppo upcoming smartphone Oppo R15 is back in news with series of renders leaked online.Earlier we had few live images showing the iPhone X like smartphone called the Oppo R13. The new leaks look completely different when compared to previous leaks.

The upcoming Oppo R15 new renders look different when compared with previous leaks of alleged device Oppo R13.Oppo is looking to skip the 13 number and will jump to 15 and will be called as Oppo R15 as per leaks.The reason behind skipping the number 13 is that the number is unlucky in many countries.

The Oppo R15 looks similar at the front as previous leaks but from the rear side, the device looks completely different.At the front, we have the edge to edge display with curved corners and looks similar to iPhone X with a notch above the display carrying the selfie camera, sensors and earpiece.

On the back, we have the Dual camera setup aligned horizontally with Dual LED flash beside it and fingerprint scanner at the centre of the device back with Oppo branding below it.The back of the device looks similar to OnePlus 5T design and nothing has been changed so probably the renders might be fake.

The Power key is located on the right and Volume rockers can be found on the left of the device.Oppo will launch two version with Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Plus. The Oppo R15 and R15 Plus will be available in three colours with Purple, Rose Gold and Black.
