Samsung announced 4nm node design chip production plan for future Exynos SoC.

Samsung and Qualcomm launched the SD 835 with latest 10nm node and now Samsung is planning to launch next gen of the Exynos chip with 4nm node and not the 10nm one.

Samsung just announced their roadmap which includes the next gen chip will be made on 4nm node.As per Samsung Foundry Forum, they were focusing on 8nm chips, which will be built on LPP process. There will be 7nm chip too which will use Ultra Violet Lithography to etch the circuit design on Silicon Wafers. After this Samsung will focus on a 6nm chip with a Smart scaling solution which will allow ultra-low power benefits before moving to the 5nm chips.

When Samsung will arrive with the 4nm chip the FinFET architecture will be ditched and will be using Multi-Bridge Channel FET architecture which is Samsung’s Gate All Round FET technology which overcomes performance and physical scaling limits of FinFET.

As per the roadmap, we have to wait longer for the 4nm chip which will make our devices faster and take less energy to work.

Samsung Galaxy S9 to be powered by Exynos 9810 with CDMA support?

Samsung is all in news with Galaxy Note 8, now we have some more rumours but not for Note 8 but for the S9 which is going to launch next year. As per previous leaks, Samsung has already started work with S9 and now we have some more leaks which claim that it will be powered by Exynos 9810 which will also have CDMA support as per industry insider.

It is still unclear that Samsung came with an agreement with Qualcomm for CDMA related patents or it opted to include CDMA support on upcoming chips. The same source claim that the 2018 flagship will be called as Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus but also c the US version of Note 8 will be powered by SD836. Samsung is releasing the flagship devices with Qualcomm due to the CDMA support and also many of the US carrier support SD chips.Patent-related tensions between the two have been on the rise earlier this year, with certain authorities concluding that Qualcomm is using unfair licensing requirements to prevent Samsung from selling its Exynos SoCs to third-party manufacturers. Regardless, the tech giants have also been collaborating on the chip making the front, as evidenced by the fact that the Snapdragon 835 is built on Samsung’s 10nm FinFET process node.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are already in works and might come with Exynos 9810 with the CDMA support and Samsung may launch the S9 with Exynos chip in US markets too if it comes with CDMA support and also supports all the US carrier. As of now, there are no details about the latest Exynos Chip 9810 we have to wait for few more months for some more info.

Lenovo Helps Customers Harness “Intelligence Revolution” With the Launch of Largest Data Center Portfolio in its History

Today, at Tech World TRANSFORM and ISC High Performance (ISC2017), Lenovo unveiled an end-to-end data center portfolio that enables customers to harness the power of the “intelligence revolution” and create a strong technology foundation that supports transformative capabilities such as data analytics, high-performance computing, hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Building on Lenovo’s number one position in customer satisfaction and server reliability for x86 servers, Lenovo introduced its largest, most comprehensive portfolio of server, storage, networking, software and data center services, as well as a new set of brands poised to take this leading position in customer satisfaction to even greater heights: ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile.

“Today’s announcements mark a significant day in the next phase of Lenovo’s commitment to advancing the data centre customer experience,” said Kirk Skaugen, President of Lenovo Data Center Group. “Our leadership in x86 server customer satisfaction and x86 server reliability, along with this new ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile brands, and Lenovo’s new portfolio of data centre solutions represent the most reliable, most agile, and highest performing data centre solutions in the industry. We are confident we can empower our customers to solve their most challenging business problems and become digital disruptors in their own industries.”

Think Ahead: Lenovo Reimagines Future-Defined Data Centers

This year, Lenovo celebrates 25 years of proven Think quality, performance and reliability, and Lenovo ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile data centre solutions provide organisations with fluid resources that can adapt to the evolving needs of a business. According to a recent IDC survey of CIOs and technology leaders, 72 percent of respondents cited supporting digital transformation and business growth as the leading rationale in IT infrastructure decisions.[3] In the past three years, hybrid cloud significantly matured, while software-defined architectures and hyper-converged infrastructure have disrupted the status quo for IT infrastructure in larger businesses. To respond to these changes, customers face challenges including evolving their infrastructure strategies and considering how to best enable them now and for the future.

The new completely redesigned ThinkSystem portfolio, based on Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, brings the gold-standard for the industry under a single unified brand spanning servers, storage and networking systems. ThinkAgile is a completely new software-defined solutions portfolio built on the foundation of Lenovo ThinkSystem platforms: it adapts to changing IT needs while reducing complexity and cost created by silos in traditional IT. Even better together, the ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile portfolios empower customers to create the foundation of a future-defined data centre with:

  • Simplicity: Often, customers find the price for technological advancement and advanced IT capabilities is complexity and confusion. The new ThinkSystem portfolio of servers, storage and networking solutions allows customers to address these concerns by giving them the ability to streamline IT infrastructure; this leads to increased service levels of data centre operations that tie directly to business growth. At the same time, we believe customers shouldn’t have to choose between certain technologies for fear of vendor lock-in or the inability to scale technology as workloads change. We engineered the ThinkSystem portfolio to work seamlessly with an organisation’s previous investments, without the need to completely re-architect the data centre. Customers can start fresh, without starting over. ThinkSystem combines the best of the Systemx from IBM heritage with the Lenovo ThinkServer franchise into a single solution built on a history of more than 150 worldwide record x86 server benchmarks: number one in customer satisfaction and number one in reliability.
  • Agility and Flexibility: In today’s competitive environment, customers must quickly use data-driven, actionable insights to refine applications and the customer experience will be paramount to today’s businesses as they strive to uncover new competitive advantages in an increasingly crowded market. With the Lenovo ThinkAgile portfolio, integrated solutions adapt to these changing IT and business needs by delivering the speed, simplified management and agility of cloud services while retaining the much-valued control and governance of on-premises IT. It’s pre-integrated, pre-built and pre-tested offerings deliver robust new capabilities to customers’ data centre, including automated lifecycle management, decreased TCO and reduced need for IT resources to maintain the platform. These solutions include the ThinkAgile SX series for Microsoft Azure Stack, as well as the ThinkAgile SX rack level solutions that integrate networking with hyper-converged offerings for a seamless customer experience. And because Lenovo is not encumbered by the legacy network and storage solutions, customers have the confidence that they can move full-speed ahead on software-defined, while seamlessly integrating with their legacy investments.
  • Future-Proofed Preparation: With the pace of technology innovation continuing to accelerate, customers will increasingly require the flexibility to adjust to changes and ensure the infrastructure they implement today stays relevant for their future needs. We designed the ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile solutions, such as the ThinkSystem SD530 high-performance computing offering to support workloads spanning large data analytics applications to high-performance computing, artificial intelligence and the largest hyper-scale environments.
Lenovo is committed to delivering transformational experiences for both its customers and the industry and is pleased to announce the delivery of one of the most powerful systems – among the first in the world based on Intel Xeon Platinum processor family – to Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). The BSC MareNostrum 4 supercomputer, tasked with jobs in science and engineering research, incorporates 48 racks with more than 3,400 nodes with next generation Intel Xeon processors and a central memory of 390 Terabytes. Its peak power will be over 11 Petaflop/s, allowing the centre to test and analyse the performance of the most recent developments in the field of supercomputing.

“The newly launched x86 ThinkSystem platform provides us with ten times more processing power than the previous MareNostrum supercomputer, allowing BSC to continue the type of scientific research that enhances humanity’s efforts to seek new knowledge and drive progress. Our experience with Lenovo has been easy and tightly integrated to overcome our challenges and achieve success, and we look forward to future collaboration,” said Sergi Girona, Operations Director, BSC.

Additional Quotes:

“We have a rich history of collaboration and transformative innovation with Lenovo,” said Lisa Spelman, Vice President and General Manager of Intel Xeon Products at Intel. “The introduction of Lenovo’s new ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile portfolios, designed for Intel’s Xeon Scalable processors, is a natural extension of our longstanding commitment to providing customers with reliable, industry-leading data center solutions that will support customers as they look to capitalize on next-generation workloads like artificial intelligence and deliver world class service capability on-premises and in the cloud.”

Google Pixel 2 will have huge battery bump, images leaked.

The upcoming Google flagship Pixel 2 is all in news with series of leaks and now we have something unexpected with the mock-up has a huge battery bump.

The design serves more than one purpose as it will be having mammoth 4800 mAh battery. This is the mockup means isn’t the real Pixel 2 and might be fan made design but too it might be the future of smartphones. The bump not only have a huge battery there is 8x  optical zoom camera at the back bump, which will provide you better images in a smartphone.

The weird thing about this mock up isn’t the camera but the main sensors are located at the back and as per creator envision it will have 3D dual lens setup at the back.According to the creator, the sensors are distanced by a 65 mm gap to help the video capture appear as if they were coming through in “immersive 3D.” 3D cameras have actually been done before on mobile devices so this wouldn’t be something entirely out of the ordinary if it were implemented, but the spacing between the sensors is certainly a different approach.

There are no ports on this smartphone, not even the charging port. This might be the future as each and every other flagship now is having support for wireless charging and that might be the future with no ports on the smartphone. The last thing is Google+ with DayDream support where creators think will be the future of sharing. These are not the real device but might be the future of smartphones how would it be without any ports and everything is wireless. As per rumours the Pixel 2 will have similar design what we found on LG G6.There is also leaks of different design of Dual camera setup at the back.

As of now, there are no details about what will Pixel 2 offers and how does it look so we have to wait for few more months for more details.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will come with rear mounted fingerprint scanner.

Samsung is all set to launch most anticipated smartphone with Galaxy Note 8. Earlier we had a rumour that it will be launched in New York third week of August.Even there were rumours that Samsung is facing screen brightness issue with the on screen fingerprint scanner.Due to that now Samsung will be launching the Note 8 with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as per latest reports.

As per popular Chinese leakster @Ice Universe, both Samsung and Apple are facing some issues with the in-display fingerprint scanner. As days are nearing towards Samsung is unable to implement the optical fingerprint scanner in the Note 8 so finally, Samsung decided to move with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. As Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8+ had a weird position of the fingerprint scanner, even many of the user complaint that while accessing the fingerprint user will touch the camera at the back. So, now Samsung will place it in easily accessible location probably below the camera.

Hope Samsung implement the optical fingerprint scanner in Note 8 and might launch with that feature. For now, we have to wait for few more months to get more details regarding the same.
