Oppo’s upcoming Find X9 Ultra is getting a lot of attention ahead of its launch in China and globally, and new leaks focus on its standout camera feature: a 10x periscope telephoto lens.

Tipster Digital Chat Station claims the 10x periscope camera will use an f/3.5 aperture, letting in roughly three times as much light as the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 10x periscope (f/4.9). That should mean brighter, cleaner zoom photos, especially in low light.

The leak also suggests this 10x periscope won’t need an external teleconverter lens, and that its 200MP periscope sensor will gather more light than most rival telephoto solutions on the market.

On the back, the Find X9 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 200MP main camera, a 200MP 3x periscope telephoto, a 50MP 10x periscope telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide. These ambitious camera specs are likely behind the thick camera bump seen in recent real-life images of the phone.
