The Google Pixel 10a incorporates more recycled materials than any previous Pixel a-series handset. Unfortunately, that philosophy seems to apply to the hardware too, as it’s largely the same phone as the Pixel 9a. We’ll dig into the specs in a moment, but first let’s focus on the 10a’s environmental credentials. It’s the first a-series model to use recycled cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten, which together make up at least 36% of its weight. The aluminium frame is made entirely from recycled material, and the packaging is completely plastic-free.
Pixel 10a:
The new Google Pixel 10a will sport a 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz POLED flat-punch-hole display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and supports HDR10+. When playing HDR content, the display can reach 1400 nits of brightness, with a peak of 2700 nits.
The new Google Pixel 10a is likely to be powered by the same Tensor G4 SoC, which has a Titan M2 security chip. The phone has 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Google Pixel 10a has a 48MP main wide-angle sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a 13MP ultra-wide shooter with an f/2.2 aperture, plus an LED flash. It can shoot 4K videos at 60fps and has a 13MP selfie shooter.
The new Pixel 10a also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. It packs a 5,100 mAh battery and supports 30W fast wired charging. Out of the box, the Pixel 10a runs on Android 16. It is also IP68 certified, making it dust—and water-resistant.
The connectivity options include Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 6, USB-C port, NFC, and 4G LTE and 5G with mmWave support.
The Pixel 10a will receive seven years of OS, security, and feature updates.
