A new report from Korea has revealed Samsung’s next big moves, covering both the Galaxy S26 lineup and the upcoming foldables.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S26 series on February 25 in San Francisco, with sales starting in March. The family should once again include the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. The standard S26 is rumoured to get a 4,300 mAh battery, a modest 300 mAh upgrade over its predecessor. The S26+ is said to focus on camera improvements with support for “3x zoom HDR shooting, promising better-quality zoom shots. The S26 Ultra may introduce an electronically controlled privacy display that narrows the viewing angle to keep content hidden from nearby viewers.
Galaxy S26 Series:
Inside, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 across all markets. The S26 and S26+ will reportedly ship with a mix of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600, depending on the region. Despite the upgrades, Samsung is rumoured to keep pricing in line with the S25 series to protect its position in the premium Android market. Dummy units of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 have already surfaced, offering an early glimpse at the design.
Galaxy Z Fold8 and Flip8:
The same leak also details Samsung’s next foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, which are expected to arrive in July. The Fold8 is expected to weigh about 200 g, 15 g lighter than its predecessor, and feature a 5,000 mAh battery, a 600 mAh increase over the previous model. The Flip8 may weigh around 150 g, roughly 38 g lighter than the Flip7, positioning it among the lighter clamshell foldables on the market.
While these details are still unofficial and could change, they fit well with Samsung’s recent strategy of refining hardware, improving efficiency and battery life, and holding prices steady while iterating on both slab phones and foldables.
